Wide Band Gap Materials

Wide Band Gap Materials (WBGM) is an open-access journal that promotes the rapid publication of experimental and theoretical investigations of materials with an energy band gap wider than about two electronvolt (2 eV), including III-V nitrides, zinc oxide, silicon carbide, diamond and II-VI semiconductors. WBGM is dedicated to reporting all aspects of scientific and technological advances in growth, material properties, and devices through the following types of articles:

  • Letters: up-to-date reports of original research finding
  • Reviews: comprehensive views of recent series of investigations
  • Perspectives: personal commentaries that highlight important new developments
All papers published in WBGM are open access, free to read on the Internet. The only constraint on lawful usage is that original authorship must be properly acknowledged and cited. WBGM journal staff members are dedicated to building a leading material journal by maintaining high editorial standards while taking advantage of the extraordinary possibilities offered by the open access environment.
